Miracle on 34th Street - Baltimore City

One awesome block in Hampden comes together to put on a Christmas light display that is sure to rival anything you have ever seen before! There are Christmas lights strung across 34th St, and houses showcase inflatable snowglobes, musical trains, and blinking angels among other magical items! The lights are on every night from Thanksgiving weekend to January 1st, including all night on Christmas eve!


Walking in a Christmas Wonderland - North Pole Lights Walk - Severn

Enjoy a walk through the shimmering Winter Wonderland and stop by Santa’s Cabin to put in your Christmas request! The gardens are lit with scenes of Christmas. Check out the flower fairies decorating the gazebo, Polar Bear Central, Gingerbread house, Forest Animals, and Enchanted Fairy Garden! Afterward, warm yourself up at the barn with a nice steaming cup of hot chocolate and be sure not to miss this years special guest from the North Pole, Prancer!

Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park has become a tradition for many families in recent years! Enjoy driving along the beautiful shore of the Chesapeake Bay that hosts more than 60 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the route!


DC Temple Festival of Lights - Kensington

Come see the 40th annual setup of one of D.C’s great community traditions! There is a free performance every night in the comfortable, state-of-the-art theater located in the Visitors’ Center that includes bell ensembles, choirs, orchestras, and more! The temple grounds will be glowing with over 650,000 lights and the Christmas trees are decorated in international themes! There is also an exhibit of creches from around world and a life-sized outdoor nativity!


Symphony of Lights, Columbia

Symphony of Lights is a time-honored Howard County holiday tradition. This family-oriented event has a dazzling display of more than 100 animated holiday light creations, made with approximately 300,000 bulbs. Drive your car through and see all the lights, a laser light show and a 3-D holiday video, all set to holiday music. Proceeds from the event has raised more than $8,000,000 to benefit Howard County General Hospital!


Garden of Lights - Wheaton

The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival is welcoming visitors this year for its 22nd season! The beautiful display of lights is a 3.5 mile drive. It takes you through 380 illuminated displays and 65 animated vignettes that light up the night! There are themed ares such as Winter Woods, Teddy Bear Land, Victorian Village, the North Pole and so much more!


Winter Festival of Lights - Upper Marlboro

Bring a little magic to your holidays with this dazzling festival! Zoolights - Washington D.C.

This event is a free, family-friendly activity where everyone is free to travel at their own pace! From the starting point, participants can walk, run, bike or skip through Catonsville, where houses glitter with Christmas lights in December! The route is slightly less than 4 miles and will stop at designated spots, usually highly decorated houses, to sing Christmas carols including favorites like Jingle Bells and Silent Night!
