Memorial Day is the national holiday dedicated to remembering all of those who gave their lives for the freedom of our country. Whether your day of remembrance consists of BBQing with friends and family, or attending a remembrance service, we found plenty of family friendly activities to help fill your weekend!

Our annual Memorial Day Parade is just around the corner! The parade is Saturday, May 26. It begins at 11 a.m. at the Bowie High School Annex located at 3021 Belair Drive.
Participants will march along Belair Drive to Sussex Lane, then to Stonybrook Drive, and end at Sage Lane. The reviewing stand, along with concession stands and restrooms, will be located in Acorn Hill Park on Stonybrook Drive.

2018 National Memorial Day Parade

Our nation’s largest Memorial Day event, The National Memorial Day Parade will take place along Constitution Avenue from 2-4 PM this Memorial Day – Monday, May 28, 2018.  The parade is organized by the American Veterans Center & World War II Veterans Committee, and is now celebrating its 14th year.  A moving timeline of American military history, the parade salutes all who have served and sacrificed in service to our country. The parade will be televised and streamed LIVE on Youtube.
