Saint Patrick's Day is a cultural and religious celebration of the foremost patron saint of Ireland! And whether you celebrate for religious or heritage reasons, or just want to wear green and have a good time, we have plenty of activities for you to participate in the area! Bring the family, friends, or a random neighbor and enjoy the festivities!

St Patrick’s Day Tea

Come enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day themed Tea party in the cabin or gazebo! Then take a walk through and see all of the beautiful flowers and herbs. Don’t forget to wear green! Please be advised this event is communal seating.

Shamrock Shindig

Shamrock Shindig is the place to be! There will be live music from The Shamrogues, food trucks, adult beverages, Shamrock Alley for kids, strolling entertainment, face painting and more! Parade to follow the event at 2pm. The event itself is free! Access to shamrock alley costs $5 and all you can drink wristbands are $35.

Start your salute to the Irish and your spring fitness conditioning on this certified fast and scenic course through Denton. New this year is the 1-Mile Fun Run. Special student "no-shirt" discounts are available and plenty of lucky surprises on the course and the finish. Register through Seashore Striders, our finish line production partner. Join in on the 5K with friends and family or enjoy the mile run with your furry friend! The Lil’ Leprechaun Dash is a thrilling 300 foot chase exclusively for youngsters 5 and under from the Denton Child Development Center to the finish line and cheering crowds. Lucky gold medals for all finishers. Dash will be at 8:40 before the St. Paddy Day race and cost for the dash is $7. New this year and included in every registration is All You Can Eat Green Pancakes after the race. Chesapeake Culinary Center will be serving green pancakes under the tent in front of the Fretterd Center. Don’t miss out on this Carb Fest!

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival - Ocean City

Everyone loves to be Irish at Ocean City's famous parade. it features marching units, floats, and local celebrities.  The Parade begins at noon and travels Coastal Hwy. from 60th St. to 45th St.  Arrive at 45th St. shopping area around 11 am and enjoy the Irish-American festival with food, drink and merriment.
Feel like a nice run on the Boardwalk?  Ocean City offers a St. Paddy's Day Boardwalk 5K.  The race begins at 9 am.  Past races boasted more than 1000 registered runners. The race begins on 4th St. at 9 am. The race offers a great Irish experience with refreshments and music post-race at Shenanigans Irish Pub.

St. Patrick's Day Parade - Chesapeake City

Best Float, Most Spirit, Best Dressed & Erin Go Braugh are just some of the prizes awarded to talented marchers at the Chesapeake City St. Patrick's Day Parade.  The parade kicks off at noon on March 17. The Mummer's Duffy String Jam Band entertains from Pell Gardens right after the parade.  Plus, local pubs are signed up for the Pub Crawl following the festivities.
