These incredible holiday light displays in Maryland are designed to impress! We highly recommend taking a few extra minutes to drive out of your way to stop by and admire one of these fabulous Christmas light displays for a truly memorable holiday experience. Bring a hot cup of cocoa, snap a few pictures, and meet your neighbors while you're at it!

1.Garden in Lights

November 30, 2018 - January 1, 2019

Are you up for A magical tour? get ready to be taken on a beautiful trip through the glittering woods and light sculptures. Sweet treats, fun activities plus more!

2. Lights by the Lake

Through December 23, 2018

Stay at the comfort of your own vehicle while the music plays through your radio and the lights dance before your eyes. There will be an indoor snack bar with a theme of "Whoville" made available for your enjoyment with refreshments.

3. Miracle on 34th Street

Through January 1, 2019

Experience a Christmas light display that is surely visible from space! Neighbors in this block of rowhouses string Christmas lights across 34th Street and it is surely a wonderful scene that you should not miss.

4. Winter Festival of Lights

Through January 1, 2019

 This is a drive-through event of more than one million twinkling lights with fun new displays to adore on. Bring the kids and the whole family for a night of fun and lights.

5. Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival

Through December 31, 2018

Over 380 illuminated displays and 65 animated vignettes in a 3.5 mile drive through beautiful Seneca Creek State Park for your entertainment. Let the holiday season feels embrace you.

6. Walking in a Christmas Wonderland - North Pole Lights Walk

Through December 22, 2018 (Friday & Saturdays only)

Visit Santa in his cabin after your self-guided walk to the North Pole. trails with lighted Christmas scenes will accompany you all throughout the walk. Polar Bear Central and Gingerbread house is up for picture taking, plus a hot chocolate awaits you at the barn. 

7. Brookside Garden of Lights

Through January 1, 2019

The annual Garden of Lights outdoor holiday lights exhibit will be happening again this year. It is a magical winter light in this wonderland illuminated with over a million dazzling lights depicting flowers, animals, and nature.

8. Sailing Through Winter Solstice

Through February 3, 2019

Visit this spectacular lighting up the night age-old custom during the dark of winter. Be amazed at the seven sailing boats, festooned with unique designs, which will bring joy to Carroll Creek. The best part of it? the display helps raise funds for local charities too.

9. Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park

Through January 1, 2019

This event has been a part of the tradition for many families for the past decade. An offering of a scenic drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with over 60 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway. Don't miss out on Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park.

10. Winterfest of Lights

Through December 31, 2018

Enjoy a mug of hot chocolate, hum with the Christmas carols and board the Winter Express. Stroll down the Yukon Cornelius Gift Shop to find that perfect gift for your loved ones, all these and more at the Winterfest Village!
